From our continued and committed investment in R&D (spending more than 10% of our annual sales), Biocentury has built up a rich portfolio of both patents and PVPs.
With 18 Chinese government issued patents, 83 PCT new applications and 17 new Chinese applications, Biocentury has biotech traits covering insect resistance, herbicide tolerance, stress tolerance (heat, drought, salinity), cotton fiber quality improvement, and cotton yield improvement.
Biocentury has done its best to get more than 20 crop varieties approved and registered at national or provincial levels to be commercialized legally. Every year, Biocentury submits many new varieties for approval and registration for cotton, rice, maize, wheat, canola and vegetables.
